Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-16

Pulpo is a demonstration / reference project, not a production service. It exists to showcase a web application architecture (Vue + Firebase). Do not use it to store real, private, or sensitive notes. Stored data may be deleted at any time, without notice, for testing or maintenance purposes.

1. Who is responsible for your data

This service is operated by Javier Sedano, as an individual, for demonstration purposes. Contact: javier.sedano@gmail.com.

2. What data is collected

Pulpo collects the minimum data needed for it to function:

Pulpo does not use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers of its own.

3. Third-party processors

Pulpo is built on Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore). Google processes data on Pulpo's behalf according to its own terms and privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Data retention and deletion

As a demonstration project, notes and account data may be deleted at any time without prior notice. You can delete your own notes at any time from within the app. To request deletion of your account data, contact javier.sedano@gmail.com.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). To exercise these rights, contact javier.sedano@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. Security

Access to notes is restricted to their owner through Firestore security rules. No security measure is perfect; as with any demonstration project, avoid storing sensitive information.

7. Changes to this policy

This policy may change as the project evolves. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
